Waitress Dallas Theatre reviews
4 Barenaked Ladies are Phenomenal!
I love Steven Page, I miss the band, and I'm looking forward to his solo album when it comes out next month. But this is my third tour seeing Waitress. There's a "but" coming...
Their performances of older songs are as energetic as ever (kicking off with "Who Needs Sleep?"!), they've already translated many of their new tracks, and have new arrangements of old songs that just don't quite work without Steven. Well, now they do! The acoustic performance of "Sound of Your Voice" with Kevin on guitar and their electric romp on "Alcohol" with Ed on drums on Tyler channeling Jack Black all over the stage are the only proof I need to admit that four Barenaked Ladies are, quite impressively, at the very least as good a band as five Barenaked Ladies were.
I thought I had seen my favorite live concert ever last summer with Wilco, and then I see BnL again! :-) Their performances of older songs are as energetic as ever (kicking off with "Who Needs Sleep?"!), they've already translated many of their new tracks, and have new arrangements of old songs that just don't quite work without Steven.
